THERE is no doubt that the advance of Smartphones, smart TVs, and tablets has seen a terrific increase in the number of local Facebook sites out there, and here are just a couple.
Victor Davies contacted me about the groups on Facebook about St Helens Past in photos and comments.
He's a bit puzzled about a photo found on The St Helens History archive site showing a member of the Gerrard family and the photo was taken near Argyle St, St Helens, dated 1934.
He is hoping Coffey Time readers will pay a visit to the site and try to shed some light.
Victor would also like to draw our attention to the Facebook site 'Pubs-of St-Helens'.
He adds: “We now have more than 1,000 photos of the pubs, clubs, and bars of St Helens and district. Please feel welcome to join our group."
So, if you like looking at old photos, get someone to buy you a smartphone for Christmas.
You can also look at www.sthelens.gov.uk/history to check out the thousands of items stored in the Local History and Archives Library.
