Easter Term Adventures
After a long period of school and work, I think we all need a break! Easter term is the perfect moment to shake off any winter blues and embrace the bright, spring sun diving into lighter days. And St Helens is the place to go, never having a shortage of fun places for families to spend quality time together.
Whether you’re hunting for outdoor activities, scavenging for indoor workshops or simply looking for something fun, this guide is how to make the most of a 2 week break!
As the days get longer and the sun gets brighter, the Easter term is the perfect excuse to get outside. St Helens is full of green spaces which makes it the perfect place to spend your day out in. Places like:
Taylor Park: a local favourite. A park which offers lakeside strolls, woodland trails and a child’s favourite, a playground.
Sherdley Park: the perfect place for bike rides, dog walks and picnics. Sherdley park is a brilliant choice for families looking for a full day outdoors without spending a penny.
Both are amazing options for spending your day out during the Easter term.
However, we all know that the British weather is very unpredictable, which is why indoor activities are a great alternative. Luckily, St Helens is full of indoor places to spend time with your family in. Places like:
The World of Glass: this award winning museum is the perfect place for fascination! A perfect trip which blends history, art and science.
North West Museum of Road Transport: the perfect place for families and vehicle-obsessed children. Contains vintage buses, classic cars and many interactive exhibits.
Again both are amazing places to visit during the term.
And we know, the term flies by in an instant, and we are already back at work or school. However, you can make the most of it and capture your memories by making a blog, scrap book of the destinations you have been. Maybe a pic collage would be cute, or even a journal.
Whatever you decide to do have a fabulous time and have a very Happy Easter!
