CREWS were called to an ambulance that was engulfed by flames in Newton-le-Willows.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they attended to a vehicle fire.
Crews have since left the scene.

There were no injuries sustained from the fire, they said.
Emergency services have not provided further details at this stage and no information has been released about how the fire started.
