On a bright Sunday morning, the Vulcan Wildcats Under-15s delivered a performance in the April 2026 Alf Holt Cup Final that will be talked about long after the final whistle, sweeping aside their intra-club opponents — the Vulcan Pumas — by a emphatic 5-0 victory.

The Under 15s girls team, coached by Kirsty Palmer and Ronnie Irwin, experienced a huge victory on their home turf at Vulcan Sports Club in Newton-Le-Willows, specifically in the Warrington Girls Football League Alf Holt Cup Final.

This event was one of the 3 cup finals hosted at the venue on the 19th of April, following the first 2 on the Saturday.

The match, refereed by Tyler Abass, lasted 80 minutes with the players officially meeting at 10:30 and kick off starting at 11:30.

The first two of the five impressive goals to be scored was by Alisha Andrews and (shortly afterwards) Millie Clarke.

Hollie Palmer scored the third goal of the match and gained the fourth during a penalty shooting, and was then followed up by Amelia Flynn who scored the fifth and final goal for the girls team, securing their celebrated win for sure.

The game firmly highlighted the strength of the club’s girls program, featuring a showcase of talent and persistence from both of the Vulcan teams.

The successful and eventful weekend witnessed over 1000 people speculating the matches that took place in support of the well-renowned club and the electric players.

Well done to all of the girls (including team captain Chloe Martin) who did their all and won the Cup Final for the U15 Vulcan Wildcats, and all the teams that played that weekend.
