A WINCHAM-based business will benefit after a Northwich housing trust expanded its fleet of vehicles for trade staff with two new specially adapted trucks.

Weaver Vale Housing Trust (WVHT) has taken delivery of two new Leyland DAF 45 series trucks equipped with link tip equipment.

The vehicles, which are contract hire for five years from Rowley Contract Hire, based on Wincham Lane, will be used to carry equipment and materials to WVHT properties.

Bob Spann, team leader for WVHT, said: “Our vehicle fleet plays an important part in making sure we can get the necessary equipment and materials to repair and maintain our properties, to ensure an efficient service for our customers.

“The new trucks will help our trade staff to carry out their important quickly and efficiently which will benefit our customers.”

Dave Moore, sales manager for Rowley Contract Hire, said he was delighted to be providing WVHT with the trucks.

He said: “We have worked closely with them to ensure the new vehicles meet their needs.

“The trucks come with some specific features such as a standard one way tipping body unit with high caged sides, for easy and safe loading the body fully demounts from the vehicle”
