A YOUNG ice cream man who has become an internet sensation spent an afternoon handing out free treats to vital hospital workers.
The Star has previously reported on the unique story of Jordan Edwards, a young ice cream man from Haydock who has amassed millions of views on social media for his 'behind the scenes' videos.
Jordan, who pitched up outside Saints' stadium for the Good Friday derby against Wigan, has had a "crazy" first year with 'JJ Ices', but wanted to do something out of the ordinary to help hospital staffers de-stress and enjoy a tasty treat free of charge.

With doctors, nurses, and hospital staff working long hours through the pandemic as they tried with rising covid cases, it has been a difficult few years as stresses have continued with rising bills during the cost of living crisis.
As April is stress awareness month, team leaders at Peasley Cross Hospital wanted to do something to take the pressure off staff members and make sure they are supporting their wellbeing.
With this in mind, this is why staff contacted Jordan at JJ's Ices and other local businesses, including 'Handmade by Adele' and 'Baked by Luce' to see if they would like to help.
Each business duly obliged and donated their products free of charge, with Jordan coming out to visit staffers at Peasley Cross on Wednesday, April 24.
Speaking about the event, Louise Edwards, Activity co-ordinator at the Taylor Ward at Peasley Cross Hospital, said: "April is stress awareness month and the impact of stress on our staff and patients is probably at an all-time high due to outside influences and life in general.
"We decided it is imperative to promote the wellbeing of everyone and the importance of knowing when to take a step back as stress is a silent killer.
"Now more than ever with the cost of living rising, we decided to not do a fundraiser, but to do a free event for everyone to come and learn skills to de-stress, to promote relaxation and most of all to have fun!
"We are so grateful to JJ’s as their support has been phenomenal and other businesses for their help such as Handmade by Adele and baked by Luce."
Jordan added: "When Louise contacted me to ask if I'd like to be a part of the stress and mental health awareness day at Peasley Cross Hospital I was delighted.
"Being given the opportunity to contribute to such an important event fills me with great achievement.
"It is crucial to prioritise mental well-being and events like these play a vital role in raising awareness and providing support to those in need".
