A THIEF who went on a spree has been sentenced by magistrates.
Dale Leatherbarrow, of Phoenix Brow, Fingerpost, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 4.
Leatherbarrow had previously admitted to nine counts of theft from shops.
On June 6, last year year, he stole meat from M&S at Ravenhead Retail Park. He also took meat from Aldi stores on October 15, October 29 last year and January 7 and January 29, 2025.
On March 5 this year he stole chocolate from an Aldi and gammon steaks from Iceland.

Leatherbarrow also stole bacon from Heron Foods at Lagrange Arcade on February 6 this year, and stole laundry products and Lynx products from Poundland at Ravenhead Retail Park on February 25.
The 40-year-old was ordered to undergo a drug rehabilitation programme with Change Grow Live for six months, and must do up to15 days of rehabilitation activity.
He was also ordered to pay sums of compensation and a fine.
His guilty pleas were taken into accont upon sentencing.
