POLICE are investigating after a report of a man "acting suspiciously" and following a teenage girl.
Officers are carrying out inquiries after the alleged incident in Earlestown on Monday evening, June 17.
Police said they received a report of a man following a teenage girl, near to Home Bargains, off Haydock Street, shortly after 9pm.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that we received a report of a male acting suspiciously in Newton-le-Willows and inquiries are being carried out based on the information provided.
"It was reported at around 9.10pm on Monday, June 17, that a male followed a teenage girl near Home Bargains, off Haydock Street.
"The girl was unharmed and the incident was subsequently reported to police.
"Inquiries are ongoing into the incident and if you have any information, you can DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
