RESIDENTS in St Helens town centre have been hit by a power cut this morning (Tuesday).
Scottish Power said the fault was reported to them at 8.58am on March 26 and an engineer has been sent to deal with the issue.
It is hoped that power will be restored by 12.15pm.

In a statement, Scottish Power said: "There is a power cut affecting the WA10 postcode area of St Helens.
"Our next available engineer will attend site to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.
"We expect your electricity supply to be restored by 12.15pm.
"If you require any further help or support, please call us on 1 0 5. The latest updates can be found on our website www.s p energynetworks.co.uk.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
