A CAR ended up on its roof after hitting a parked car on Saturday evening.

The crash took place at around 8.15pm on Main Street, in Billinge on March 23.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to find an overturned car.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "An MG car was in collision with a parked Vauxhall Astra on Main Street at around 8.15pm, which caused the MG to overturn".

She added there were "no reports of any serious injuries".

A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokesman confirmed that all occupants of the MG were out before crews arrived.

He said: "Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident on Main Street, Billinge during the evening of Saturday, March 23.

Crews were alerted at 8.18pm and on scene at 8.28pm, with two fire engines and the search and rescue team in attendance.

"This was a two-vehicle road traffic collision (RTC) with no persons trapped.

"Vehicle one was on its roof, three occupants (were) out of the vehicle prior to fire service arrival.

"All occupants stated that they had no injuries and NWAS paramedics were on scene to provide precautionary checks."

He added: "Vehicle two was a parked vehicle on all four wheels, with no persons in the vehicle at the time of the RTC.

"The scene was handed over to Merseyside Police and our crews left at 8.46pm."
