WHEN she was a little girl, Rhianna Jones had dreams of owning her own salon and making clients look and feel beautiful and confident.

She’s now 27 and has been running a successful business for the past ten years, opening a salon in her own home in Prescot after the Covid-19 pandemic.

What do you do? What services do you provide?

In 2021 after the pandemic, I opened my very own nail studio from home where my clients come to relax, unwind and get their treatments in a private environment. Many of my clients call their appointments ‘therapy’. I like my clients to feel at home when they visit my studio.

Why this type of business? What’s your hair and beauty background?

From a young age I spent a lot of time in beauty salons and hair salons, admiring the work and dreaming of having my very own place one day. I have been in the beauty industry for the past ten years, working in three different salons and locations in St Helens, where I grew up. I picked my clientele up along the way before taking the next step of creating my own business in 2015.

What makes your business different to others in the same area/field? What sets your business apart from your competitors?

My business has gone from strength to strength over the past few years due to my hard work, determination and loyal clients. I find the beauty industry such a rewarding industry to be part of - putting smiles on people’s faces, making them look glam and feel better in themselves makes my job worthwhile.

Why do loyal clients return to your business?

My clients come to me because of the passion I put into my work. I am very reliable and I always put 110% into everything I do. Many of my clients I have known for eight years or more and I am so grateful to each of them. I’ve even picked up a celebrity client or two along the way too!

The next few months will include a busy Christmas period as well as learning new skills and creating special treatments for my clients. I’ll be setting new goals for 2024 after achieving all my goals for this year. I am always open to learning new things, to better my business and create something really special.
