THREE teenagers who were arrested after the police dog unit was called following a reported burglary have been bailed.

The suspects, aged 16, 18 and 19, were arrested on Tuesday afternoon after reports "three males" had been attempting to get into a property on Liverpool Road in Prescot.

When officers arrived, with the assistance of a police dog, three suspects were found inside the property, who were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

They have been bailed pending further inquiries, a police spokesman said.

In a statement Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm three males were arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident in Prescot on Tuesday, September 19.

"At around 4.45pm, it was reported that three males had been attempting to gain entry into a property on Liverpool Road.

"Officers attended and with the help of Police Dog Mizz, three males were found inside the property.

"Three males, aged 16, 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. They have since been released on bail pending further inquiries."
