THE MUM of a teenage girl who tragically died at Carr Mill Dam has shared an emotional tribute thanking the people of St Helens for their support.
As reported last week, a huge search operation at Carr Mill Dam led to the recovery of a body on Thursday, June 1.
It was later confirmed that the person recovered was 15-year-old Erin Madden, a pupil at Outwood Academy in Haydock.

The news devastated the family and friends of Erin, as well as the wider community, and masses of tributes were paid to the much-loved teenager on social media.
This included a tribute from Outwood Academy, who described the 15-year-old as a "fantastic" student with an "amazing sense of humour".
Dozens of floral tributes were also left at the scene of the Dam, while friends and family gathered at the beauty spot to release balloons in her honour.

Following the countless number of tributes, messages of condolence, and donations towards funeral costs, Erin's mum Kirsty has shared a statement to thank the community for their support during this awful time.
Kirsty said: "Firstly I would just like to that all the emergency services that were present and who tried to help my beautiful girl on Thursday.
"Secondly, [to] the community of St Helens, we have been absolutely blown away by the support, donations, messages.
"Family and friends have been unbelievably supportive through this heartbreaking time and we can't thank anybody enough.
"There are no words to describe the pain and emptiness I am feeling right now, every day feels [like] a week and I hate leaving my baby girl Erin alone."
As Erin had her whole life in front of her, Kirsty previously said that the family are "devastated beyond words" and that "life will never be the same again".
She also called for the Dam to be drained to prevent any further tragedies from happening in the future, and said that she will get a tattoo to forever honour her daughter.
