A 52-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested after she allegedly tested positive for cocaine whilst riding an electric scooter.
The woman, from Newton-le-Willows, was stopped by officers at around 4:45pm on Friday, April 21, after they reportedly spotted her riding an electric scooter dangerously on Rydal Street.

She was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit; driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence; using a motor vehicle on a road without third-party insurance and of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs and possession of a Class A drug (cocaine).
The woman has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
