DETECTIVES have issued CCTV images of a man who could assist their investigation into a burglary at a family-run farm.

As the Star previously reported, the owners at Bridge Farm on News Lane, Rainford, were left "shocked and upset" after the premises was broken into in the early hours of Friday April 14.

The offenders had gained entry and stole money, purse and bank cards.

No threats were made to the occupiers or injuries caused, police said.

They added that CCTV and witness inquiries are ongoing to identify the offenders.

Detective Inspector Tracey Martin said: “Burglaries and theft from a business is not a victimless crime as they have a huge impact on the community in many ways, especially small businesses trying to make an honest living.

"We are determined to find the offender so that other businesses are not targeted in future."
