A THIRTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD man has been reported in connection with alleged road traffic offences after police stopped an e-scooter rider.
Police said on Friday, March 10, that following a number of complaints regarding electric scooters riding in the Newton-le-Willows area, officers came across a man riding a scooter dangerously.
Officers allege that when they attempted to stop and speak with the rider, the suspect made off.

Police said that with help from the local community, officers caught up with the man.
A suspect was reported in relation with a number of road traffic offences and the scooter was also seized.
