Newton-le-Willows East councillor Seve Gomez-Aspron MBE, Vice Chair of NECG, said: "For decades Newton-le-Willows had a long history of walking day events. And whilst times change, the Coronation celebrations give a good opportunity to show off everything that’s great about our town on such a special occasion.

"Sunday will be bustling alongside the High Street Hive events, and so we can add to this best-of-British occasion with a classic car show and parade."

The Walking Day event in Newton-le-Willows will take place on Sunday, May 7.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact NECG at secretary@necg.org.uk.
