POLICE have secured a closure order on an apartment following numerous reports of disorder in relation to the address.

Merseyside Police obtained the order for 11 Styche Mews in Parr.

The closure order was issued at Wirral Magistrates' Court on Thursday, December 15, following numerous incidents of "anti-social behaviour and disorder offences" in the area. 

A full closure order was granted under section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and is now in place until Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Community Policing Inspector Jon Smith said: “This is a really good result for the surrounding residents on Styche Mews who have been plagued by anti-social behaviour and disorder. Thanks to the hard work and dedication from our officers a full closure order has now been emplaced.

“I hope these residents will feel reassured that we have taken action to prevent any further offences from this address."

He added: “Whenever we receive reports of antisocial behaviour we will do everything within our powers to work with partners including our local authorities and housing associations to take action and where necessary apply for closure orders

“We understand the crimes that such behaviour leads to and we’ll continue to work closely with residents to deal with such problems.
