Junior organiser at Grange Park Carlo Albanese praised Luis on the fantastic round.

"Holding his nerve on the 18th he sunk a six-foot putt to complete the amazing feat even in the face of one of his playing partners reminding him that 'you've got this putt to get the course record!'

"A reminder that would have seen most of us bottle it. As it turned out, even though he made that putt, he was still was one shot shy.

"Congratulations young man, take a bow."
