BILLINGE pole vaulter Harry Coppell won his third national outdoor title on Saturday at the Müller UK Athletics Championships at the Manchester Regional Arena.
The Wigan and District Harrier’s fine 5.75m clearance booked his place in next month’s World Athletics Championships at Eugene, Oregon.
He was ahead Adam Hague (5.40m) and Lazarus Benjamin (5.30m) on the podium.

The 18th World Athletics Championships are scheduled to be held in 2022 in Eugene, Oregon, United States from July 15–24.
