A 26-YEAR-OLD man has been charged following an attempted robbery at a bakery in Whiston last week.
At around 11.25am on Thursday, May 5, officers were called to an attempted robbery at Waterfields on Greenes Road.
It was reported that a man had entered the premises armed with a knife and demanding money from the till.

He left the bakery empty-handed and no one was injured during the incident.
Following an investigation, Connor Lunt, aged 26, of Dragon Lane, Whiston was arrested on Saturday 7 May, and has been charged with attempted robbery.
He has been remanded into custody and appeared at St Helens and Knowsley Magistrates Court today (Monday, May 9).
