A MOTORIST who failed to stop after hitting a cyclist has admitted to driving without due care and attention.
Michael Anthony Scott, of North Road, St Helens, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on April 22.
Scott, 67, was involved in a collision with a cyclist while driving a Ford Focus on Ellamsbridge Road, Sutton, on May 26 last year.
A court sheet said the collision happened "owing to the presence" of Scott's vehicle.
In a previous hearing at the court, Scott pleaded guilty to failing to stop after the incident and to failing to report the accident.
In the latest hearing, Scott admitted to driving without due care and attention.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report.
Scott was given unconditional bail until June 6.
