A WARNING has been issued after prescription medication was reported to have been lost yesterday in the St Helens area.

Officers received a report shortly after 10.15am today, Friday June 18 about a quantity of tablets that were missing.

28 x Propranolol 40mg tablets, 21 x Zapain 30mg tablets, 7 x Mirtazapine 15mg tablets and 21 x Clomipramine 25mg tablets were lost in St Helens on Thursday.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers are reminding people that taking any medication which has not been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, can prove fatal.

"Anyone who finds any of the medication is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy or police station or contact officers via @MerPolCC or the 101 number quoting log 292 of June 18."
