EACH day throughout November we are going to bring you a random picture of a Great Saint from our archives and tag on the end a little brain teaser.

Yesterday it was Paul Wellens, but today it is the turn of Thatto Heath's favourite son.....the inimitable Alex Murphy.

Signed on his 16th birthday, Murphy soon made the number seven jersey his own and he quickly developed into the role, combining an astute tactical awareness with blistering pace. And by the age of 18 he was starring for Great Britain in the Ashes series Down Under.

Murphy had charisma and a presence in a team not short of characters. He scored 175 tries from 320 appearances in the Red Vee in a career spanning 1955 to 1966 before leaving to join Leigh.

He returned to Saints as coach in 1985 - a post he held until 1990.

But today's brainteaser is to name all three of those old school trophies being shown off by the then Saints skipper?
