A MAN who was found guilty of multiple sexual assaults on a girl has been jailed for 15 years.

Anthony Edward Bloor of Brentwood Close, Eccleston, was found guilty of multiple counts of sexual offences against a child after a trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

Bloor, 30, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, September 18 for the sexual offences.

He committed the offences against the girl in Southport.

He was given 15 years in prison and was also issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Police branded Bloor a "dangerous individual" as they welcomed his jail sentence and commended the courage of his victim in coming forward.

Detective Inspector Catherine Walsh said: "Bloor is a dangerous individual and he will now spend a significant amount of time behind bars where he can no longer pose a risk to children.

“I would like to commend the victim for her bravery in coming forward and hope this sentencing sends out a message that time is no barrier to obtaining justice.

"If you have suffered a sexual offence and can find the courage to come forward, we will take your report extremely seriously and investigate it thoroughly.

“Merseyside Police has specially trained officers ready to treat you with care and respect and ensure you are properly supported.”
