BRITISH Transport Police say they are no longer investigating a claim of a sexual assault at a train station.
Officers had issued a CCTV appeal after receiving a report of a woman alleging she was sexually assaulted at Wigan North Western railway station on Monday, June 29 by a man who was believed to have then travelled to St Helens.
A CCTV image was circulated on August 6 by British Transport Police of a man they wished to speak to in their investigation.
