AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital to be assessed after a crash at an accident blackspot.
A black Jaguar XF and a black Kia Picanto were in collision at the junction of Rainford Road and Hard Lane in Dentons Green, at around 6.50pm on Sunday (September 6).
Police and the fire and rescue service were called to the scene.
The Picanto suffered significant damage to its front end in the smash.
A kerb at the junction has also been left damaged after the crash.
Th drivers of both vehicles stopped at the scene after the collision.
A police spokesman said an eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital after the crash by his family to be assessed.

He added there were no serious injuries sustained in the collision.
