A two-storey gym formed stage one of the transformation

Comprising three thrilling slides, a trampoline, climbing frame, swing ball, and soft play area for under three’s, Willowbees is open seven days a week for children to bounce along to explore the endless fun to be had in such a spacious environment.

Speaking at the launch, St Helens Council’s cabinet member for public health, leisure and libraries, Cllr Anthony Burns, said: “As a council we’re committed to investing in and offering activities that will bring a wealth of opportunities for every age range in the borough, and Willowbees certainly fits well into that bracket for our children and young people.

“Newton-le-Willows Health & Fitness is a top-class, state of the art facility and features like Willowbees are sure to be a hit with visitors from across the borough and further afield.”

There is also an onsite café, serving up food and drink including Costa Coffee for adults.

Meanwhile there are also three party rooms suitable for birthday celebrations, with packages starting from £99 and private hire available too.

Willowbees is phase two of a three-part refurbishment at Newton-le-Willows Health & Fitness Centre which has so far seen the completion of a two-storey gym containing state of the art equipment, including Wattbike and Curve Runner.
