All the windows to the 'scorebox' had been smashed, although items are believed to have been stolen.
The club has issued an appeal for any help in fitting new windows.
The damage was discovered on Thursday, November 21 and the incident has been reported to the police.
Rainhill Cricket Club said: "Rainhill CC is dependent on the contributions of volunteers and community-inspired people, who should not have to contend with what appears to be a mindless act of vandalism.
"This kind of incident has an impact on the many volunteers associated with the club, and of course carries a significant financial cost.
"Everyone at Rainhill CC is disappointed, as the club works hard to serve the community."
