THERE have been delays this morning on the M62 and the M57 following a crash and a car fire.

On the M62 two lanes have been closed and there is slow traffic due to an accident, which involved two cars on M62 Westbound at Junction five A5080 Roby Road (Huyton). Lanes two and three (of three) are closed.
A broken down car was struck from behind by another vehicle, police say.
Clearing works are taking place.
Meanwhile, there is also queueing traffic due to an earlier car fire on the M57 Southbound after Junction six A506 Valley Road (Kirkby).
There is congestion to the M58 (Switch Island). Travel time is around 15 minutes. All lanes have been re-opened as of 9.55am.
