THE housing development being built on the site of the former Carmelite Convent in Eccleston will open its doors to the public this weekend (Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May).
Jones Homes is building a collection of just 12 luxury four and five-bedroom detached houses at Springfield Gate, off Houghtons Lane, with prices currently ranging from £589,950 to £629,950.

The gated development is located within the grounds of the former Carmelite Monastery, which closed in 2015 binging an end to a century-long mission.
The development will include one home which is being created from a refurbishment of the old gatekeeper’s lodge.
Jones Homes acquired the land in 2017 and the monastery buildings were demolished last year to enable construction work on the new homes to begin.
The development has been named Springfield Gate in reference to the 19th century Springfield House which stood on the land until it was demolished in the 1980s. It is believed that the land was previously part of Eccleston Hall Estate.

The sales centre and four-bedroom Knightsbridge II Show Home at Springfield Gate will be open from 11am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday (May 18 and 19).
