IT is so nice to see so many people deciding to invest in St Helens town centre.

I completely get that not enough is being done quickly enough in terms of investment, and that a lot of investment is needed to bring it up to scratch.

However, I’m so pleased to see businesses really making a good go of it and bringing more to our town.

Mellor and Black Enchanted Tea Rooms is a great addition to the town centre, as is Ed and Eve, The Secret Halo, Piano Bar and Dolliez - all different places but all in their own way adding to our town.

Hopefully, with the diverse businesses coming to St Helens we can put the negativity behind us and start looking to the future, with others soon following suit.
