CAN anyone explain why it is no longer possible to get an NHS dentist?
I have not been able to find a local dentist now for nearly two years as it looks like there are fewer and fewer dentists working for the NHS.
I have used the Find A Dentist on the NHS website there is nothing in St Helens, Warrington or Widnes. The closest are miles away and even they have waiting lists.
I keep getting told that I have to join private to get a dentist.
Well, I can’t afford to pay monthly private dentist fees and then for treatment on top.
The NHS was supposed to look after us from cradle to grave - but that is not happening now with something as basic a dental treatment.
Whatever has gone wrong here? Can the government sort it out ASAP and make it a priority? People are going to be really suffering in pain due to this failing.
