AS the cost of living rises, most kids won’t be going back to school with a new uniform.
If lucky, their school may have a second-hand room.
One hundred and twenty-seven councils out of 367 provide a uniform grant, St Helens isn’t one.
This would be a good time to reintroduce the scheme, most of the councils that provide are Conservative-run.
