REGARDING the Arriva bus driver strike.
I completely agree with people fighting for fair pay but due to these strikes I am unable to get to work which means I am losing out on money which I need to pay my bills.
With the inflation, that’s going to put me into even more debt.
This also means I am having to leave my ward at the hospital short staffed which will potentially affect the vulnerable patients that we look after.
They are refusing an 8.5 per cent rise which is nearly double what we are being offered and we have not got much choice but to accept due to not being able to afford to take time off to strike as well as caring too much to leave our patients with no staff to look after them.
