YOUR feature on the Hardshaw Centre’s kid eating snake play area brought back happy memories of going with my late mum.
Playing on the snake and going to The Country Larder for a toasted tea cake afterwards.
There used to be huge raised planters that people sat on too.
Busy, vibrant and full of life. I’d play on the snake and my mum would sit and chat with whoever she happened to be sat next to.
It was a massive treat to go shopping with her in the school holidays.
How times have changed.
