IN response to the plans for a sky bar, hotel and restaurant in the town centre.
I applaud anyone trying to improve the town and hope they try to retain some of the historic buildings like the old Nat West/Counting House.
Like everyone else who has already commented, it’s the parking that’s the biggest issue; there is absolutely nowhere you can park near to our pubs/restaurants without parking restrictions.
It’s a major problem that needs addressing.
I’ve already stopped shopping on the retail park now as two hours is simply not enough time for me to shop there and enjoy a coffee. I can’t believe the number of traffic wardens we have for such a small town.
For people to want to shop and socialise here, then it needs to be more welcoming with ample free parking.
