I HAVE to agree that there should be more focus on local transport links for the good of our citizens and the local economy.
For example: travel from St Helens to Liverpool John Lennon Airport – a distance of 13 road miles – takes approximately one hour 30 minutes by local transport, or for a faster, cheaper, but slightly less comfortable alternative, one hour nine minutes by bicycle.
This needs to change.
