I RECEIVED a text from my GP earlier this week, instructing me to book a Covid booster jab.

It is six months since I had my second jab (mid-April for the record) and so I duly logged on to the website to book an appointment. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t work and it said I wasn’t eligible.

Never mind, I’ll phone the number up; that will sort it, I thought.

No, after repeatedly giving the person my details, they told me I wasn’t eligible. The only explanation was that it mustn’t have been six months from my second jab.

It clearly is. What a waste of time – you couldn’t make it up.
