I REALISE a lot of people – particularly in healthcare – have had to change the way they work due to the pandemic.
But I do have concerns with some issues, such as making an appointment to see a GP.
I recently tried to make an appointment and was given a date a week later when a doctor would phone me. The call came when I was in the middle of a video call at work (from a withheld number) and I didn’t answer. There was no call back I was just told to arrange another ‘appointment’.
I do worry how much these systems are being managed to suit doctors’ workloads rather than patients’ needs.
How many people are ending up not speaking to a doctor because they get frustrated with the system.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
