WE have all seen recently on the football pitch how a defibrillator can save lives and the Sutton Wombles are now fundraising to buy and install one outside the Wheatsheaf pub in the heart of Sutton.

The unit itself costs £2,000 and we then have to buy a secure cabinet so the unit can provide 24 access to the community.

We hope in the future to provide more but we need to start somewhere. Donations can be made through the Sutton Wombles and the Sutton community support group on Facebook.

For those not on Facebook, donations can be handed in at the Wheatsheaf pub which is kindly supporting us in our mission.

I lost two of my immediate family members to heart disease, gone in an instant.

Give someone you love that chance of life.
