I DON’T think the developers behind plans for the proposed houses at Laffak Road, Carr Mill, have given much consideration to the surrounding area at all.
I can’t see there being enough car parking, sensible road access for the proposed number of dwellings (already a very congested area especially at peak time as it is).
Then there is background infrastructure to consider – there are three primary schools close by. Is there any plans to create potential additional places?
The planning committee also need to investigate how aspects such as health care will cope with potentially well in excess of 300 additional people living in the area too.
On top of that, it would be good to have a sensible conversation over whether the proposed flats are in keeping with the area too!
The only people who would benefit from this development in its current format are the people who would be getting paid to build it.
