MY lovely Dad had a stroke a few weeks ago and the care he received and is still receiving from Whiston was excellent on every level.
Thorough and speedy examinations and treatment saved his life.
The staff on this ward 5C are heroes, always giving their time to answer any questions and reassure us.
They are clearly understaffed, but thank god for our NHS and these emotionally intelligent people who are quite simply amazing.
I should never moan about working long hours in my job again because these guys exemplify what hard work is.
We still have a long road ahead of us and having more patients will add to the strain but I guess it’s only like being transferred to Broadgreen etc and I’m sure they have provisions in place for more patients as the ward was very well managed.
