I WOULD just like to congratulate the lowlife scum who tried to break into an 89-year-old man’s house in the early hours of last Friday morning.
It would appear they were almost in, suggesting possibly they were disturbed.
The 89-year-old man is my dad and an ex-royal marine who served his country with valour.
In view of the national news of late, and reading of attacks and murders of old people, I am greatly disturbed about what that lowlife would have done to him had they got in.
I would like to thank the police and hope clues collected may lead to a prosecution.
At the same time I urge families and neighbours to keep a close eye on our old folk as this lowlife is still on the loose wandering about in the early hours hoping to rob very old people.
ST, Eccleston
