Windle Island
THE idea behind the Windle Island improvement project was to make this notorious junction a safer place for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
But it’s looking like we are totting up more deaths and injuries on the main alternative route (Blindfoot Road/East Lancs/Catchdale Moss) since work started.
It’s a real worry.
