IN reply to ‘Dismay over dog fouling on fields’ (Star, December 6), I am a dog owner and have walked these fields for more than 20 years before football pitches were there.


Yes, there is a problem of dog fouling but that is by just a few bad owners. 


On the whole, people pick up after their dogs which is more than I can say about the rubbish that football fans and teams leave after every game: plastic bottles, tins and food waste.


Some also urinate without a care for people who live nearby.
So before the football people say anything, put their own house in order.
