IT would be great to see the regeneration of the markets to deliver the basic amenities that a town like St Helens needs.


Basics such as food aisles with greengrocers, butchers, fishmongers and bakers – all providing quality produce at affordable prices, clothing, shoes, bags, cobblers and all the other things that made markets thrive in the 80s.


Everything goes full circle and people are becoming more tactile once again, craving real tangible experiences from town centres after too long being disconnected through convenience.


I really would hope that a real community market could be a thing again.
