Windle Island Pic: Robbob
IN response to Mr C Eccleston: living on St Helens Road, I/we cannot avoid the disruption, at Windle.
However, I welcome a return, and hopefully improvements, to the previous system, when there were four lanes, taking us to Manchester, St Helens via Rainford Road, Eccleston via Bleak Hill road and, to the right, to Liverpool.
We have lived, for some years, with the crazy two-lane system.
Due to this, many inconsiderate drivers ignored instructions, overtaking and pushing in, for A580 or St Helens, while the majority of us would patiently sit in the correct lane, being placed further back, in the line.
Roll on the changes; we must remain patient.
