IN defence of St Helens Council over their proposals to pilot changes in recycling and brown bin collections.
The council can only do so much with the budget they have.
Maybe I’m not that concerned as a three-weekly brown bin collection won’t bother our household in much.
We recycle everything, we squash all cans and bottles and fit much more in.
If we can’t, we just use a plastic bag and put that out with it and they always take it.
Rat wise, if people are recycling their food in the caddies and they are closed properly, there will be nothing in the bin bags for the rats to eat.
