MY faith in the younger generation has been restored tonight (Tuesday, August 28).
I popped into the Tesco in Earlestown on my way home from work and on the way out of the store I slipped over and went with a thud on to my knees and I couldn’t move.
Within seconds a really nice young man, about 16, came over and asked if I was OK.
He helped me up and asked again if I was OK.
What a lovely young man he was – his parents should be really proud of him.
I wish I had asked his name now but I just wanted to get home.
and nurse my grazed and swollen knee.
So to that young man I say a great big thank you.
Chivalry is not dead.
